bubble tea and ragtime

I hope everyone here in the U.S. had a lovely Thanksgiving! I'm not a turkey fan, but hmmmmmmmmmhghhgm pumpkin pie~ 9u6

Now I am doing INTENSE ROOM CLEANING AAAAUGH. So far I've gotten rid of all the crap cluttering up my desk, moved my big ol' PC to the basement, and sorted through my entire bookshelf (probably going to sell all my manga from middle school on ebay lolololurgh). Also trying to organize my art supplies a bit more, so they aren't spread around in six different locations for no apparent reason. I just found a huge stash of mechanical pencil refills from forever ago. This is magical!

I'm glad I'm doing this now, and not... a month before I go to college, or something. GO ME.

- I got a car! Wait, what? LOLOL I CAN BARELY EVEN DRIVE. I could have gotten my license a while ago, but I just don't feel safe driving... :[ It'll be nice to be able to go places of my own accord, but it seems so unnecessary by this point. I'll be in New York in less than a year. At least the car was really cheap and my little sister can use it eventually.

There may be a sketchdump tomorrow! Yes indeed. I draw in most of my classes because none of my teachers seem to care. Ah, senior year... I'm getting a steady workload, but school has ceased to be a struggle for the most part. It's beauteous.

I feel like I don't interact with people here enough. Maybe I should start doing those silly character questions again? Like, "If your character ______, what would they _____?" Hmmmm~

I got dragged to the shore the very weekend I am trying to write my epic AP Lit essay. Distraction! Joy! It's suffocatingly humid here, and some neighbor keeps setting off fireworks for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. YOU DOUCHEBAGS, I AM TRYING TO WRITE ABOUT GREAT LITERATURE!!!1

I got off my butt yesterday! Went to a friend's house and had a delicious baking marathon, after which we invited people over for a fancy dinner party that was more dessert than dinner. Any excuse to play dress-up is a good idea in my book :B There was also much watching of Firefly DVDs, which I'll admit intrigued me (y'all know I cannot resist that sort of time period mixing, not to mention I've never met someone who watched it and didn't like it). And, AND, Hunter and I finally agreed on something: it would be amazingly cool to travel 1000 years into the future just to see how they view our society. Call me nerdy, but I think it's mindblowingly fascinating to think that eventually, Sunday, August 16th, 2009, will be ancient history. _{This is all assuming we don't blow ourselves up between now and the next millennium, of course XD}

Which brings me to my next bit of wondering--



--who else predicts that this video is going to look ridiculously dated a decade from now? I mean, yeah, most music videos will, but this one especially, since it's going for that whole "OMG FUTURISTIC!!! OMG TECHNOLOGY!!1" thing.

I wish I could say I'm preparing for the con already, but, um... no. In addition to the normal obligations, I've been working doubletime for my stupid art class because our stupid piddly school art show is on Thursday. My teacher has been getting up everyone's butt about this as if it actually matters, as if anyone is actually going to see it besides our classmates and parents? Alrighty then. For a while I was seriously considering being an apathetic douche and hanging all my stuff upside-down, but I don't need my teacher having an aneurysm and I don't think I could pull off being ~*post-modern*~ anyway.

Moar heads! With some minor (probably unnoticeable) edits to the previously posted ones. Chimes, Ibec, Cain, and the other two Arioc siblings are all that's left for now. Then I'll get those leftover commissions out of the way once and for all, open up some new slots, and possibly make a tutorial on how I've been going about these floating heads. Exciting! And school seems to be slowly winding down, so everything is just faaaabulous.
